From the App Launcher, find and select Files.

Select an existing image file.
Click Upload Files and upload your local image file.
Click next to the image file and select Public Link.
Set the expiration date, and optionally set the password.
Click Create Link.
Note: The generated public link points to a file preview page and not the direct image URL
required by the Announcement component.
Open the Developer Console and run this SOQL query:
SELECT ContentDownloadUrl, CreatedDate, Name FROM ContentDistribution
Copy the value in the ContentDownloadUrl field for the selected
image.
Note: Ensure that the URL doesn’t exceed the 255 character limit of the Image URL
field.
From the App Launcher, find and select App
Alerts.
Update your App Alert record by replacing the existing URL in the Image
URL field with the ContentDownloadURL.
Save your changes.
Note If the image doesn't appear in home announcements, check whether the image URL is from a
domain added as a trusted URL. See Manage Trusted URLs.
