          How Briefings Work

          How Briefings Work

Briefings helps you transform complex account data into personalized audio briefings through a two-stage process. Configure a scheduled flow that runs daily to convert account summaries into human-readable, natural language text. Sync this data into the Life Sciences Cloud Mobile app by creating object metadata cache configurations for Briefings objects. The mobile app then converts this data into audio using Kokoro, an on-device text-to-speech model, delivering the latest audio briefings before every scheduled visit.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions with Life Sciences Cloud, Life Sciences Cloud for Customer Engagement, Agentforce for LifeSciences Cloud, Einstein GPT Prompt Builder, and Einstein GPT Platform Add-on licenses, and the Life Sciences Customer Engagement managed package.

Use the guided setup to configure Briefings for your users. The guided setup, available in Life Sciences for Customer Engagement Setup in your Salesforce org, walks you through the setup steps.

          Key Considerations

          • Briefings currently supports English only. If the podcast text contains non-English content, Kokoro Text to Speech (TTS) will attempt to read it using English phonetics, resulting in incorrect or unintelligible pronunciation.
          • Briefings generates audio briefings only for visits scheduled on the current day. Briefings for future visits become available on the visit day, when the scheduled flow runs.
          • Ask your field users to keep their calendars updated with upcoming visits to ensure the daily Briefings schedule captures all visit data.
          • If you and your users are in different time zones, ask them to log their visits at least two days in advance. The daily Briefings schedule runs on the org's time zone, so logging in advance ensures all visit data is captured accurately.
          • The Briefings icon appears in the top-right corner of the Life Sciences Cloud Mobile app once two conditions are met. Make sure the user's profile is associated with a Presentation Content Definition Assignment entry. The user also requires read access to the Presentation Content object. The icon remains hidden until both conditions are fulfilled.
          • Each audio briefing is limited to 3,000 characters. Content exceeding this limit is truncated in the generated audio file.
          • If you create a new visit, or cancel or reschedule an existing visit on the go, your playlist is not dynamically updated to reflect the changes.
          • The audio briefings playlist is based on the Presentation Content data generated by the Briefings Daily scheduled flow. If you configure the flow to include all visit changes, the playlist updates automatically after the data syncs to the Life Sciences Cloud Mobile app.
