Set Up Customer Engagement with Salesforce Go Solution

Salesforce Go provides a seamless, automated configuration process to accelerate your Customer Engagement setup. Instead of navigating through disparate manual steps, you can install the metadata, enable core features, and deploy sample data from a single interface.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions with Life Sciences Cloud, Life Sciences Cloud for Customer Engagement Add-on license, and the Life Sciences Customer Engagement managed package.

          Prerequisite

Before you set up Customer Engagement using Salesforce Go, install the Customer Engagement managed package.

On the Agentforce Life Sciences Customer Engagement Setup page, you can choose between setup options that are tailored to your organizational needs. Regardless of the path you choose, the setup bundles automate the heavy lifting of your Customer Engagement setup.

          • Standard Installation: A one-click process that installs everything required to get started, including metadata, configurations, profiles, page layouts, and sample data.
          • Custom Installation: Provides the flexibility to preserve existing configurations or install components specific to your organizational needs. You can choose between the Core Configuration and Enhanced Experience optional bundles. The Custom Profile bundle is mandatory.
            • Custom Profile Bundle: Deploys the LSC Custom Profile that defines the baseline permissions for API access, and reporting.
            • Core Configuration Bundle: Installs the core metadata, system configurations, and sample profiles. Ideal for users starting with a clean slate but wanting to handle layouts manually.
            • Enhanced Experience Bundle: Installs FlexiPages, page layouts, and lightweight sample data for immediate visualization.

          Core Configuration Bundle Specifications

This bundle installs the building blocks of Customer Engagement, focusing on administrative and system-level settings.

          • Business Operations Data: Deploys the configuration data stored in objects that control application-wide behavior for provider visit settings, account dynamic list configuration, account filter config, account list actions, account search preferences, presentation settings, email settings, sample inventory management profile settings, external search settings, and sample limit settings.
          • Foundation Profile: Includes the LSC Custom Profile, which defines the baseline permissions for API access and reporting.
          • Offline Framework: Automates the deployment of object metadata cache configurations, ensuring the features are prepared for offline data synchronization.

          Enhanced Experience Bundle Specifications

This bundle deploys the front-end interface and the records necessary to demonstrate the application's functional workflows. It combines comprehensive metadata with seed data to provide a fully realized environment.

          • Lightning Interface: Installs a comprehensive set of FlexiPages, page layouts, and action overrides, including specialized layouts for healthcare professionals (HCP), healthcare organizations (HCO), and contact point addresses.
          • Object Configuration: Deploys objects with compact layouts, field sets, and record types, along with standard value sets for picklist fields, to ensure data consistency.
          • Access & Permissions: Includes profiles pre-configured with field permissions, layout assignments, record type visibilities, and tab visibilities.
          • Pre-Configured Home Page: Activates the Home Page LSC Default, featuring integrated widgets for Announcements, Next Best Customer recommendations, and Activity Plan tracking.
          • Functional Seed Data: Populates the environment with a representative dataset, including sample HCP Accounts, Visit records, Account Plans, and Medical Inquiries.

          Visualize Success with Sample Data

During setup, you are prompted to include sample data, which populates your org with realistic records to help your teams explore the Customer Engagement capabilities immediately after installation.

          • HCP Accounts: Includes a pre-configured HCP account linked to products and territories.
          • Engagement Tools: Pre-populated visits and calendar entries.
          • KAM Objectives: sample account plans and objectives for key account managers.
          • Medical Inquiries: A mix of open and resolved inquiries to demonstrate the workflow.

          Post-Setup Tasks
