          Provider Engagement Compliance

          Provider Engagement Compliance

Provider engagement compliance is a regulatory support feature for the Japanese pharmaceutical market. It automates and tracks two mandatory processes: Early Post-Marketing Phase Vigilance (EPPV), which monitors new drug safety for the first few months of sales, and Medical Information Delivery (MID), which ensures the rapid delivery of urgent safety information to healthcare professionals (HCPs). Sales representatives conduct periodic visits (cycles) to healthcare organizations (HCOs) to collect safety data and deliver critical documentation.

Considerations for Using Provider Engagement Compliance

          • Product restrictions, including the ones defined at the territory level (account—territory—product combinations) doesn't apply for provider engagement compliance. Salesforce uses product restrictions for controlling sample drops, and don't define the accounts to be monitored for account compliance.
          • Assessment tasks for account compliance must be associated with a visit.
          • The Type field in Action Plan differentiates a provider engagement compliance action plan from a key account manager action plan.
          • The Category field of a care program differentiates a provider engagement compliance care program from any other care program.
          • On Mobile, a custom tab shows the Account Compliance component and related records. You can't customize the Account Compliance tab.
          • The standard Action Plan object is used for account compliance. So, you see the standard Action Plan tab on the web and on mobile devices. You can't hide the Action Plan tab on your mobile.
          • There's no validation to restrict manual status updates on Provider Engagement Compliance Cycle records. You can control access to these records by restricting the visibility of the Provider Engagement Compliance Cycle tab for sales representatives.
          • We recommend you to avoid migrating to Agentforce Life sciences Cloud when a provider engagement compliance is in progress. However, if you must migrate, the ongoing provider engagement compliance data, such as care program, Care Program Product, Action Plan, are migrated from legacy systems. During the migration, system validations and trigger handlers that restrict creation of or updates to provider engagement compliance data are ignored for successful data loading.
          • Unlocking a visit doesn't automatically update the visit status to In Progress. You can configure a record-triggered flow to update visit status when unlocked.
