Configure Org-Wide Settings for Event Management
Configure the admin console settings, such as transaction and logistics rules, that apply universally in your Salesforce org.

- From the App Launcher, find and select Admin Console.
- Select the Event Management tile.
- In the left navigation pane, select Field Events Org Level Settings.

Configure the general settings.

For Presentation Subject Material Template Types, select the template type value that
represents presentations in a managed event.
Admins must first create the dynamic picklist in the Subject Material Template object’s Template Type field.
- For Account Source Fields for Expert Creation, enter the API names of the Account fields you want to copy to the Expert records in the Object.FieldAPIName format.
- To prevent users from deleting colleagues who are automatically added at the time of event creation, select Prevent deletion of system-generated colleagues.

To determine expense amounts using the exchange rate on the day of transaction, select
Use Historical Transaction Rate to calculate expenses.
To setting uses the Dated Exchange Rates configured in Manage Currencies in Setup.

To enable the event manager to review the event, select Include manager as
event approver.
When you select this setting, and if the sales rep creating the event is set as the primary owner of the event, the sales rep user's manager is automatically added as the approver of the event. When you deselect this setting, the manager is added as the coordinator of the event.
- For Concluded Event Status, configure the managed event’s status value or values that indicate that the event has ended. This setting is used to determine when the monetary cap calculation switches from estimated to actual expenses.

For Presentation Subject Material Template Types, select the template type value that
represents presentations in a managed event.

Configure the participant role settings. Make sure you create event management participant
types, participant roles, and mapping records between the type and role before you complete
these steps.
- For Attendee Participant Default Role, select the custom picklist value in the Event Management Participant Role’s Role field that the attendee participant type maps to.
- For Expert Participant Default Role, select the custom picklist value in the Event Management Participant Role’s Role field that the expert participant type maps to.
- For Write-In Participant Default Role, select the custom picklist value in the Event Management Participant Role’s Role field that the write-in participant type maps to.
- For Non-Profiled Participant Default Role, select the custom picklist value in the Event Management Participant Role’s Role field that the non-profiled participant type maps to.

Configure event logistics settings.
- For Venue Resource Type, select the managed event resource’s resource type picklist value that represents a designated venue for events to take place.
- For Healthcare Organization Resource Type, select the managed event resource’s resource type value that represents the HCO where an event can take place.
- For Managed Event Resource Confirmed Status, select the managed event resource’s status value that indicates that a resource has been confirmed as the location for an event.
- For Managed Event Resource Preference Confirmed Status, select the managed event resource preference’s status value that indicates that a resource preference has been confirmed as the location for an event.
- Save your changes.
