          About Lists and Filters

With this feature, users can identify, refine, and engage with target accounts in the Life Sciences Cloud for Customer Engagement app. Users can segment accounts by specific criteria, focus on relevant results, and act directly from the list.

          Required Editions

Lists and filters created and managed are available across both the Accounts and Calendar tabs.

          Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions with Life Sciences Cloud and the Life Sciences Cloud for Customer Engagement Add-On license

          Identify and Target Accounts

Organize accounts into lists, or dynamically filter them by specific criteria.

          • Lists: Static groups of accounts. Accounts remain in a list until users manually add or remove them. Use lists to manage curated sets of accounts, such as campaign targets or routine planning groups.

For example, a rep manually adds accounts to a list to invite them to an upcoming congress event.

          • Filters: Generate account results based on defined criteria. When account data changes, the results update automatically. Use filters to identify accounts that match specific conditions. See Configure Filters.

For example, a rep creates a filter to show all Tier A cardiologists in New York.

Clone a filter to reuse and modify existing criteria without starting from scratch.

          • Advanced Filters: Filter accounts by criteria from related objects that aren't available in standard filters. Advanced filters use standard reports for complex filtering across multiple data sources.

For example, create an advanced filter based on a sales performance report to show healthcare providers with decreased prescription volume last quarter.

          • Predefined Filters: Identify accounts by using system-generated insights or engagement planning frameworks. Available predefined filters include Next Best Customer, Activity Plan, and Activity Plan with Weightages. See Configure Predefined Filters.

          Refine and Prioritize Results

After identifying accounts, narrow your results to prioritize targets for engagement planning.

Users can refine and prioritize results by using these features.

          • Account type filters: Quickly view specific account types, such as healthcare providers (HCPs) or healthcare organizations (HCOs).
          • Record type filters: Focus on accounts that belong to specific account record types.
          • Best Time filters: Identify accounts by preferred engagement times for effective visit planning. See Configure Best Time Filters.
          • Sorting: Organize results by fields such as account name, last visit date, or other attributes.
          • Preferred Lists and Filters: Pin a list or filter as your default view on the Accounts or Calendar tab for quick access to frequent segments.

Users can also switch to the map view to visualize accounts geographically. The map view shows accounts based on their address location, helping users quickly identify nearby accounts and plan visits more efficiently.

These capabilities help users quickly focus on the accounts that require attention and prioritize their engagement activities more effectively. See Configure Account List Display Preferences.

          Take Action on Target Accounts

Manage multiple accounts directly from list or filter results to support engagement planning without leaving your current view:

          • Bulk update fields or ratings
          • Schedule group visits
          • Send group emails
          • Export lists to CSV files
          • Share filters with each other

See Manage Account Lists and Filters Actions.
