Manage Event Attendance
On the day of the event, capture participant sign-in information and meal preferences, if any. The sign-in sheet is available only on the iPad.
Meal preferences denote transfer of value, and must be recorded for compliance purposes.
- From the iPad's homepage, go to the Managed Event tab in the top scroll bar, and select the event for which you want to record the attendance.
-
On the bottom-right corner of the page, tap
, and tap Sign In Sheet.
- Tap Sign In next to an attendee and capture their signature.
- Select the meal preference.
- Save your changes.
Add Write-In Attendees
Capture attendance details for ad hoc participants in an event. For example, if a provider brings a colleague or a spouse to the event who wasn’t invited, create write-in type participant records that are automatically converted to an account or a non-profiled attendee, based on record type and reconciliation status.
As a prerequisite, record ad hoc attendees who don’t have an account in Salesforce by creating a Party Profile record.
Conversion to Attendee Records
- If the attendee has an account in the system, the write-in attendee is reconciled with the account and converted into an attendee.
- If the attendee doesn’t have an account in the system, the write-in attendee is converted into a non-profiled attendee.
For information on how write-ins are converted to accounts and non-profiled attendees, see Write-In Participants.
- On the iPad, from the Managed Event record, go to the Attendee tab.
-
Flick to scroll to the section that represents write-ins, and tap Update
Write-Ins.
The managed event type, participant role, and participant type are preselected. Keep them as is.
- Enter a name for the write-in.
-
In Participant, tap to add a write-in participant.
- If the participant has an account associated with it, select Account and then select the record. Use Advanced Search, if needed.
- If the participant isn’t linked to an account or contact in Salesforce, select PartyProfile, and then select the corresponding record.
-
Flick to scroll to the Participant Party Reconciliation Status field, and select a value,
such as, Completed Profiled.
- For a participant that has an account, choose Completed Profiled.
- For a participant that isn't linked to an account or contact in Salesforce, choose Completed Non-Profiled.
- Save your changes.
