Mobile and Offline Event Execution

Mobile and Offline Event Execution

Event Management supports mobile and offline execution from within the mobile app, helping field representatives manage sign-in, participants, presentations, and surveys even when connectivity is unavailable.

Required Editions

Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions with Life Sciences Cloud, Life Sciences Cloud for Customer Engagement Add-on license, and the Life Sciences Customer Engagement managed package.

Event Management supports full mobile and offline execution through the Life Sciences Cloud mobile app, allowing field representatives to manage core event activities, such as attendee sign-ins, write-in additions, presentations, and survey launches, even without a network connection. Actions performed offline are queued locally and synced to Salesforce when connectivity is restored. But, because validations such as attendee quota checks, monetary cap enforcement, and expert eligibility checks require a server connection, any violations detected at sync time result in a Managed Event Participant Discrepancy record rather than a real-time block, and the organizer or admin must resolve these manually. Write-in attendees added offline are reconciled with existing account records after sync and converted to non-profiled attendees if no match is found. Certain actions — including actual expense allocation, workflow stage transitions, email invitations, and calendar event creation — require connectivity and can’t be performed in offline mode.
