Medical inquiries move through a series of steps from creation to closure. To get a
clear understanding of the progress and assignment of requests, it’s critical to track the
real-time status of inquiries. Define appropriate status values to help your sales representatives
and medical science liaisons use the Medical Inquiry workflow efficiently.

Important The Status field in the Inquiry object is derived from the Status field in
the Case object. You can't edit it from the Inquiry object. Add or remove a status from the Case
object first, and then add or remove the status from the support process related to the medical
inquiry record type.
From Setup, open the Object Manager, and go to the Case object.
Under Fields & Relationships, click Status.
In the Case Status Picklist Values section, click New.
Enter these exact inquiry status values, each on its own line:
Draft, Signed, Submitted,
Assigned, and Responded.
