Quoting and Orders
- Direct Order
- A quoted order that is fulfilled and shipped directly from the manufacturer to the customer without involving intermediary distributors or wholesalers.
- Electronic Signature
- Digital capture of a customer on a quoted order document to acknowledge order terms, pricing, and delivery commitments. Required for certain order types or regulatory compliance.
- Free Goods
- Additional product quantity provided to customers at no charge as part of promotional programs or volume purchase incentives. Free goods are tracked separately from purchased quantities.
- Quote Line Item
- An individual product entry within a quoted order that specifies the product, quantity, price, discounts, and delivery details.
- Quoted Order
- In Agentforce Life Sciences, an order is referred to as a Quoted Order because the Quote object is used to create an order.
Pricing and Catalog
- Discount Rules
- Automated business logic that calculates and applies discounts to quoted order line items based on factors such as quoted order quantity, customer type, or product mix.
- Price Book
- Your company's master product catalog, containing the products and services your field reps can quote, along with their selling prices. Use the standard price book, or create custom price books for different currencies, regions, or customer segments. Field reps select a price book when browsing the catalog to build a quote.
- Price Book Entry
- A record of a specific product's price within a price book, including its list price and any associated product selling models. Add a price book entry for every sellable product so it's visible and priced correctly in the catalog when field reps build a quote.
- Price Waterfall
- A sequential record of all pricing adjustments applied to a quote line item, including list price, volume discounts, and final net price. Provides an audit trail for pricing decisions.
- Pricing Procedure
- A sequence of pricing elements that run, in order, to calculate the price of a sales transaction.
- Pricing Recipe
- A data source that maps decision tables to the pricing elements used in a pricing procedure. Each usage subtype has one active pricing recipe at a time.
- Product Territory Availability
- A record that extends or restricts which territories can see a specific product, controlling what appears in a rep's catalog during store checks and capturing quoted orders.
- Unit of Measure
- The standard used to quantify products for ordering, pricing, and inventory tracking. Examples include each, case, box, pallet, or dose.
Transaction Rules and Governance
- Approval Workflow
- A configurable process that routes orders through required approval steps based on criteria, such as order value, discount amount, or customer type, when a quoted order is submitted.
- Sales Transaction Type
- A record that identifies the applicable pricing procedure for a quote.
- Transaction Processing Type
- A record that defines processing settings for a quote on a specific channel, such as mobile. Unlike Sales Transaction Type, which controls pricing, Transaction Processing Type (TPT) controls channel-specific processing behavior. In Agentforce Life Sciences, setting the TPT to TPT for LSC4CE Mobile bypasses tax calculations.
- Validation Rules
- Business logic that checks order data for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with business policies before allowing the order to be submitted.
Store Check
- Action Plan Template
- Groups assessment task definitions and links them to the Visit object, so reps see the right set of tasks when they perform a store check. Publishing a template locks it against further edits.
- Action Plan Template Assignment
- Connects a published action plan template to an assortment or store assortment, making that assortment's products appear as assessment tasks during a store check.
- Anomaly
- An actual value that fails a KPI's comparison rule against its target—for example, a stock count below the expected minimum—surfacing issues like low stock or a misplaced display for follow-up.
- Assessment Indicator Definition
- A key performance indicator (KPI) that a field rep measures during a store check, such as stock availability or shelf placement. Its data type determines how reps enter values on their mobile device.
- Assessment Task Definition
- Determines the tabs that appear on the Store Check execution page, such as Inventory Check or Product Display. Each task groups one or more assessment indicator definitions.
- Assortment
- A curated list of products a rep assesses during a store check, scoped to a territory or account. Marking a product as required guarantees it's always recorded during a visit, even if the rep doesn't enter a value for it.
- Life Sciences Workflow
- A configurable process that governs what a rep can do to a Visit record at each stage of a store check—create, edit, or delete—and captures the rep's location when a visit starts and ends. It also governs quote locking: submitting a quoted order locks it, and a manager must approve an unlock request (or reject the quote) before a rep can edit it again.
- Retail Store KPI
- Ties a specific assessment indicator to a specific product within an assortment for a given store, so reps see the correct target value to compare against during a visit.
- Store Assortment
- The record that associates an assortment with a specific store (a Business Account), defining the exact product list that displays when a rep opens Store Check for that account.
