Create a Sales Transaction Type

Sales transaction type controls which pricing procedure is applied when pricing for a quoted order is calculated. During pricing calculation, the pricing procedure defined in the Sales Transaction Type record gets priority over the one selected in the admin console. When a field rep creates a quoted order from their iPad, Salesforce autopopulates the sales transaction type on the quote. This makes sure that the quote uses the correct pricing procedure without manual input from a field rep.

User Permissions Needed
To create a sales transaction type:	Life Sciences Commercial Admin

1. From the App Launcher, find and select Sales Transaction Type.
2. Click New.
3. Enter a name.
4. In the Pricing Procedure field, select a pricing procedure.
5. Save your changes.

Define a default pricing procedure in the admin console. See Quotes and Pricing Admin Console Configurations.

Note If you're using Revenue Lifecycle Management in your org alongside Agentforce Life Sciences, define the default pricing procedure in Setup for pricing calculations outside Agentforce Life Sciences.
