Set Up Quotes and Pricing
Configure quoting and pricing for Agentforce Life Sciences, including pricing recipes, sales transaction types, product catalogs, and quote locking and approval workflows. Complete this setup before your field reps create quoted orders during pharmacy and healthcare provider visits.
Quoting and pricing setup has three layers: turning on the feature and granting access, configuring how prices and discounts are calculated, and controlling what products and documents your field reps see. Most orgs complete these steps in order, but you can revisit any layer independently as your business requirements change.
- Start here.
- Turn on Order Management and grant the required licenses, permission sets, and object access before configuring anything else. See Turn On Order Management and Get Your Org Ready for Quote and Pricing Users.
- Configure pricing.
- Set up the pricing recipe, pricing procedure, and sales transaction type that determine how your field reps' quotes get priced, including volume discounts, manual discounts, and condition-based pricing. See Create a Pricing Recipe, Pricing Procedures, and Create a Sales Transaction Type.
- Control the product catalog.
- Decide which products your field reps can add to a quote, based on territory and account. See Make Products Available in Catalogs.
- Set up quote documents and approvals.
- Configure the quote PDF template, electronic signature capture, header-level discounts, price waterfall visibility, and the multi-stage approval process that locks a quote after your field reps submit it. See Create a Quote Document Template, Price Waterfall, and Quote Locking and Unlocking.
- Complete mobile configuration.
- Use the Admin Console to control product views, priority products, disclaimers, and mobile layout without changing metadata. See Quotes and Pricing Admin Console Configurations.
- Turn On Order Management
Give your field reps what they need to capture quoted orders, apply pricing and discounts, and route approvals, online or offline. Turning on Order Management for Agentforce Life Sciences activates Revenue Cloud, Quotes, Salesforce Pricing, Price Waterfall, and other supporting features. Your field reps' work syncs automatically when they reconnect. - Get Your Org Ready for Quote and Pricing Users
After you turn on Order Management, grant your quote and pricing users the access they need to work. Create custom user profiles, assign permission sets, and configure object-level, field-level, and sharing access so field reps and sales managers can view and edit quotes, pricing data, and related records without permission errors. - Personalize User Experience
To create an intuitive field rep experience, customize Order Management's visual elements and actions. - Extend Sales Transaction Context
Configure your account and product data so that pricing engines and APIs retrieve accurate information quickly. - Set Up Multiple Currencies
Turn on multiple currencies so you can price and quote in more than one currency. - Create a Pricing Recipe
A pricing recipe determines the pricing operations to run for quoted orders. A default pricing recipe is an org-level pointer. Set the default pricing recipe one time, after you activate your recipe, and update it whenever you switch to a different version. When you change the default recipe, the new recipe applies to new quoted orders from that point forward and doesn't reprice existing quotes. - Pricing Procedures
Pricing Procedures (Expression Sets) define the sequence of pricing steps that are executed during price calculation. They specify which pricing elements to apply, and in what order. - Create a Sales Transaction Type
Sales transaction type controls which pricing procedure is applied when pricing for a quoted order is calculated. During pricing calculation, the pricing procedure defined in the Sales Transaction Type record gets priority over the one selected in the admin console. When a field rep creates a quoted order from their iPad, Salesforce autopopulates the sales transaction type on the quote. This makes sure that the quote uses the correct pricing procedure without manual input from a field rep. - Order Management Flows
Agentforce Life Sciences includes pre-built flows that validate quote data, share quotes with territories, and control which products your field reps can add to a quoted order. Customize and activate each flow to match your order capture process. - Make Products Available in Catalogs
Control which products your field reps can see and add to a quoted order. Show products based on field reps' territory and account. Set up product availability after your product catalog and territories already exist, because product visibility depends on both. - Quote Document PDFs
Configure a PDF template to generate PDFs after creating a quoted order. You can generate, view, and edit PDFs only from the web. - Turn On Header Adjustments for Quotes
Field reps can apply discounts or total overrides across an entire quote and automatically distribute the amounts across line items. - Price Waterfall
Price Waterfall shows a step-by-step breakdown of every pricing operation applied to a quote line item—list price, discretionary discounts, automated discounts, and net price. - Quoted Order Sharing by Territory
Configure territory-based quote sharing for field reps to automatically gain visibility into all previous quoted orders for accounts in their territory. - Quote Locking and Unlocking
Configure multi-stage approval workflows that lock a quoted order when your field reps submit it, and route unlock requests through manager approval. - Quotes and Pricing Admin Console Configurations
Help your field reps quickly find recommended products when creating quoted orders, and make sure that the appropriate pricing logic gets applied when field reps create quoted orders. - Mobile App Configuration for Quotes and Pricing
Set up object metadata cache configurations for quotes and pricing objects your mobile app needs for online and offline access.
