Custom Actions
Custom Actions extend the Life Sciences Cloud mobile app by opening external URLs, launching installed apps, or sending prompts to Agentforce from record pages.
Required Editions
| Available in: Lightning Experience |
| Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions with Life Sciences Cloud, Life Sciences Cloud for Customer Engagement Add-on license, and the Life Sciences Customer Engagement managed package. |
Configure Custom Actions in the Admin Console. You can pass account object data as custom
parameters. For example, set Target Parameters to
q={Account.Name} to pass the account name to a URL.
Examples of Custom Actions include View Online, Open External App, Search Google, Search PubMed, and Search Clinical Trials.
Important To show a Custom Action on a record page, create a corresponding
Standard Action and add it to the page layout. Make sure that the Standard Action's
Name matches the Custom Action's Quick Action
field. Custom Actions on custom pages, such as the home page and Next Best Customer, don't
require a Standard Action.
