Configure a New Visit Action on the Home Page

Configure a Quick Action on the Home Page to start the New Visit creation flow without going to a record page.

Required Editions

Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions with Life Sciences Cloud, Life Sciences Cloud for Customer Engagement Add-on license, and the Life Sciences Customer Engagement managed package.
User Permissions Needed
To configure home page actions: Life Sciences Commercial Admin
  1. From the App Launcher, find and select Life Sciences Commercial, select Admin Console, then click Quick and Custom Action Administration, click Quick Actions, and click New.
  2. Enter values in these fields.
    Field Value
    Label New Visit
    Name New_Visit
    Action Name New Visit
    Location Home Page
    Sort Order Any number
    Profiles Select a profile that matches the rep, for example, Field Sales Representative.
    SObject Visit
    Important
    Important Select a profile or permission set. If both are empty, the home page action doesn't appear.
  3. Save the action.
