Remote engagement facilitates virtual meetings by providing tools to start and manage
remote visits with healthcare professionals. When users schedule remote visits, healthcare
professionals receive invitations with the necessary details such as the meeting link and
passcode. During the meeting, users can manage participants, share screens, and capture
signatures, streamlining virtual interactions and eliminating the need for in-person
visits.
Required Editions
Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions with Life
Sciences Cloud, Life Sciences Cloud for Customer Engagement Add-on license, and the
Life Sciences Customer Engagement managed package.
Mobile Configuration for Remote Engagement Set up object metadata cache configurations for Life Sciences remote engagement objects. Generate a metadata cache to package the object schema configuration that the Life Sciences Cloud mobile app uses for online and offline access. This configuration defines how the mobile app fetches and stores the necessary metadata when a network connection is unavailable.
Set Up Twilio for Remote Engagement Use Twilio as a service provider for remote sessions. Finish setting up the Twilio account by updating the named and external credentials included in the Life Sciences Customer Engagement managed package. Set up an Experience Cloud site so that healthcare professionals (HCPs) can join remote sessions. Make sure that participants can connect to video calls by adding Twilio WSS endpoints as trusted URLs in your Salesforce org. Use the Admin Console to define video call settings and add phone numbers.
Set Up Invitation Emails Set up email templates to send invitation emails to attendees automatically when field users create planned visits. Send follow-up emails notifying attendees of any changes to the visit.
Set Up Remote Signatures Enable your field reps to capture signatures from healthcare professionals (HCPs) during remote visits. Hosts can trigger requests to capture signatures for direct-to-practitioner products, samples, product discussions, or consent.
