Authenticate to Microsoft Teams to Conduct Remote Visits
To plan and conduct remote engagement sessions, open a connection between Salesforce and
Microsoft Teams. You authenticate only one time, and the connection with Microsoft Teams remains
active until you revoke access.

User Permissions Needed
To use remote engagement features:
Use Life Sciences Remote Engagement permission
Before you host or join remote sessions with Microsoft Teams from Life Sciences Customer
Engagement, install the Microsoft Teams mobile app on your iPad. Then authenticate to your
Microsoft Teams account so that Life Sciences Customer Engagement can:
Create Microsoft Teams meetings on your behalf
Start Microsoft Teams meetings directly from the Life Sciences Cloud mobile app
You can connect to Microsoft Teams from the Salesforce desktop site or from the Life Sciences
Cloud mobile app.
Authenticate to Microsoft Teams from Salesforce
To authenticate from Salesforce, follow these steps.
From your personal settings, in the Quick Find box, search for and select
External Credentials.
In the tile of the Life Sciences Microsoft Teams OAuth external credential, click
Allow Access.
Authenticate to Microsoft Teams. For example, enter a username and password.
After authenticating to Microsoft Teams, you’re redirected back to Salesforce. The
external credential is authenticated, and its tile shows Configured. To revoke authentication
on an external credential, users click Revoke Access.
Authenticate to Microsoft Teams from the Life Sciences Cloud Mobile App
To authenticate from the Life Sciences Cloud mobile app, follow these
steps.
From your profile in the Life Sciences Cloud mobile app, open your profile.
Tap Log in to Microsoft Teams.
The External Credentials page opens in Salesforce.
In the tile of the Life Sciences Microsoft Teams OAuth external credential, click
Allow Access.
Authenticate to Microsoft Teams. For example, enter a username and password.
After authenticating to Microsoft Teams, you’re redirected back to Salesforce. The
external credential is authenticated, and its tile shows Configured. To revoke authentication
on an external credential, users click Revoke Access.
To return to the Life Sciences Cloud mobile app, tap Back or
Done.
