          Survey Capture Entry Points

          Set up survey entry points based on how users interact with accounts, visits, or other records. With entry points, users can start a survey without leaving their current task.

          Integrate surveys directly into your users' workflows by showing them where they're most needed. You can create survey entry points by adding:

          • The Survey List View component to a record page.
          • A quick action to a record, such as an account list, a visit engagement page, or an account profile.

          Add a Survey Component to a Record Page

          Add a Lightning component to an account, account plan, or visit page so that users can submit a survey directly from the record.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Lightning Experience
          Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions with Life Sciences Cloud, Life Sciences Cloud for Customer Engagement Add-on license, and the Life Sciences Customer Engagement managed package.
          User Permissions Needed
          To configure Survey features and objects: Life Sciences Commercial Admin
          To add a Lightning component: Customize Application
          1. Open the record page where you want to add the component.
          2. From Settings, select Edit Page.
          3. In the Components pane, drag the survey component to a location on the page canvas.
            • If you’re adding the component to an Account or Account Plan page, search for SurveyListView.
            • If you’re adding the component to a Visit page, search for VisitSurveyListView.
          4. If you added the SurveyListView component, click the component to configure the properties.

            Note

            The Let users retake a survey after submitting responses and Pre-fill responses from previous survey submission options are available only for the SurveyListView component on Account and Account Plan pages. These options aren't available for the VisitSurveyListView component because survey retakes aren't applicable for visits.

          5. Save your changes, and then click Activation and follow the prompts.

          Add a Survey Quick Action

          To keep users focused, add a quick action to access a survey directly from an account list, account profile, Intelligent Content search, or a visit engagement page.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Lightning Experience
          Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions with Life Sciences Cloud, Life Sciences Cloud for Customer Engagement Add-on license, and the Life Sciences Customer Engagement managed package.
          User Permissions Needed
          To configure Survey features and objects: Life Sciences Commercial Admin
          To add quick actions: Life Sciences Commercial Admin permission set AND Customize Application

          Add a Survey Quick Action to an Account List

          1. From the App Launcher, find and select Admin Console.
          2. Click Quick and Custom Action Administration.
          3. On the navigation panel, click Quick Actions.
          4. Follow Create a quick action with Search as the location, and Survey as the action.

          Add a Survey Quick Action to Intelligent Content Search

          Mobile device users can start a survey directly from the Intelligent Content search results.

          1. From the App Launcher, find and select Admin Console.
          2. Click Quick and Custom Action Administration.
          3. On the navigation panel, click Quick Actions.
          4. Follow Create a quick action with Intelligent Content as the location, and Survey as the action.

          Add a Survey Quick Action to HCP Account Profile and Related Visit Engagement Pages

          When you add the survey quick action to the Person Account page, users can start a survey from the HCP account profile. If the primary account of a visit is an HCP account, the quick action is available on the Visit Engagement page.

          1. From Setup, open Object Manager and select Person Account.
          2. Select Page Layouts, and open the layout that you want to modify.
          3. In the Mobile & Lightning Actions section, drag the Survey Quick Action to the Salesforce Mobile and Lightning Experience Actions section.
          4. Save the page layout.

          Add Survey Quick Actions to HCO Account Profile and Related Visit Engagement Pages

          Add the survey quick action to the Account page layout so users can start surveys from the HCO account profile. When the primary account of a visit is an HCO account, the survey quick action also becomes available on the Visit engagement page.

          1. Go to Setup.
          2. Open Object Manager, and select Account.
          3. Select Page Layouts, and open the layout you want to modify.
          4. In the Mobile & Lightning Actions section, locate Survey Quick Action.
          5. Drag the action to the Salesforce Mobile and Lightning Experience Actions section.
          6. Save the page layout.

          Generate Mobile Metadata Cache

          To make the survey quick action available in the Life Sciences Cloud for Customer Engagement mobile app, generate the mobile metadata cache. See Generate Metadata Cache.
