Control how Time Off Territory (TOT) events interact with other activities. These rules
determine whether TOT events can be created alongside other activities, helping prevent scheduling
conflicts and ensuring alignment with organizational policies.

Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions with Life
Sciences Cloud, Life Sciences Cloud for Customer Engagement Add-on license, and the
Life Sciences Customer Engagement managed package.
User Permissions Needed
To manage time off territory settings:
Life Sciences Commercial Admin permission set
From the App Launcher, find and select Admin Console.
Select Time Off Territory and then select Time Off
Territory Rules.
Turn on Time Off Territory Rules.
When this setting is inactive, standard validations are enforced without rule-based
configuration. In this case, Time Off Territory entries aren’t allowed during visits,
non-business hours and holidays.
Select the profile for which you want to apply the Time Off Territory rules. To apply the
rules to all the profiles in the org, select Default.
Select a rule for which you want to set the parameters.
Select an existing rule to update its parameters.
Select Default to set the default rule parameters.
To create a new rule and its parameters, select New Rule, and
then enter a name for it.
Select the parameters for the default rule.
The default rule determines whether a time-off entry can be created during an event. It
applies to all the associated TOT types
To override the default rule for a specific TOT type, update the values for the events in
the corresponding row. If you don’t select a value, the default rule is applied for the TOT
type for the event.
Save your changes.
