Define how your users log time for Time Off Territory events. You can standardize
intervals such as Morning or Full Day to simplify multi-day entries. Based on your configuration,
users log their time off using predefined slots, specific date and time ranges, or a hybrid mode.

User Permissions Needed
To manage time off territory settings:
Life Sciences Commercial Admin permission set
Note If you configure a slot type other than All Day, then set the slot timings within your
organization's business hours. You can’t create time off territory records with start and end
times outside of your organization's business hours.
From the App Launcher, find and select Admin Console.
Select Time Off Territory and then select Time Slot
Intervals.
Select the profile for which you want to apply the Time Slot Interval settings. To apply
the settings to all the profiles in the org, select Default.
Select the time input mode through which users can log downtime.
Standard: Users log time using slots and manual time entry. Selecting a slot still
requires time inputs.
Slot-based: Users choose from predefined slots.
Manual: Users enter the start time and end time using a time picker.
Hybrid: Users log time using either slots or manual entry, based on the selected slot
type. Selecting a slot removes the need for time inputs, while selecting None requires time
inputs.
Switching between time input modes doesn’t require changes to the page layout.
However, ensure that the Slot Type field remains on the layout. In Manual mode, the Slot Type
field is automatically hidden.
For the All Day, Morning, Afternoon, and Evening time slots, select the time intervals
during which you want to allow users to create time-off entries.
Only slots with a defined duration can be selected in the Slot Type field when
creating a time off territory record.
To allow users to create time-off across multiple days in Standard, Slot Based, and Hybrid
modes , select Let users create time-off slots across multiple
days.
For time off spanning multiple days, separate Time Off Territory records are created
for each day. Only records that meet the overlap validation requirements are
created.
