          Get Your Org Ready for Time Off Territory

          Before using Time Off Territory, configure the necessary business hours and validation settings. These prerequisites ensure time-off entries align with your working hours, prevent scheduling conflicts, and maintain a consistent scheduling experience.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Lightning Experience
          Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions with Life Sciences Cloud, Life Sciences Cloud for Customer Engagement Add-on license, and the Life Sciences Customer Engagement managed package.
          User Permissions Needed
          To manage time off territory settings: Life Sciences Commercial Admin permission set

          Enable Required Trigger Handlers

          Activate these trigger handlers to enforce Time Off Territory rules, prevent scheduling conflicts, and ensure consistent validation and sharing.

          Configure Business Hours for Time Off Territory

          Configure business hours to ensure that Time Off Territory entries are validated against your organization’s working hours.

          1. From the App Launcher, find and select Admin Console.
          2. Select Planner, and then select Planner Settings.
          3. Select the profile for which you want to apply the Time Slot Interval settings. To apply the settings to all the profiles in the org, select Default.
          4. For Global Business Hours, search for and select the business hours. If no business hours are available, you must create them first. For instructions, see Set Business Hours.
          5. Save your changes.
