            Add Internal Users as Visitors

            Configure the visitors feature so field reps can record internal colleagues who participate in visits and automatically share visit data with them.

            Required Editions

            Available in: Lightning Experience
            Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions with Life Sciences Cloud, Life Sciences Cloud for Customer Engagement Add-on license, and the Life Sciences Customer Engagement managed package.
            User Permissions Needed
            Modify page layouts: Customize Application
            Access the Admin Console to configure visitor settings, activate trigger handlers, and generate the metadata cache: Life Sciences Commercial Admin permission set

            Make sure that the users to be added as visitors are set up in your Salesforce org.

            1. From the object management settings for visits, go to Page Layouts and edit the relevant layout.
            2. Add the Edit Visitors action to the Salesforce Mobile and Lightning Experience Actions section, and add the Visitors related list to the layout.
            3. From the App Launcher, find and select Life Sciences Commercial, and then click Admin Console | Visit Administration | Visit Settings.
            4. In User Profiles Available in Visitor Search, select the profiles for users who can be added as visitors, and click Save.
              The direct manager of the field user always appears at the top of search results.
            5. From the App Launcher, find and select Life Sciences Commercial, and then click Admin Console | Trigger Handler Administration.
            6. Activate these trigger handlers: VisitorShareHandler and VisitorLockHandler.
              Object lock handlers apply only to the desktop site. For the mobile app, this logic is built in.
