          Capture Product Detailing

          Configure product detailing so field reps can record products, messages, and reactions during visits. Set up related lists, admin settings, and trigger handlers.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Lightning Experience
          Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions with Life Sciences Cloud, Life Sciences Cloud for Customer Engagement Add-on license, and the Life Sciences Customer Engagement managed package.
          User Permissions Needed
          To manage visit settings: Life Sciences Commercial Admin permission set
          To create and save Lightning pages in the Lightning App Builder: Customize Application

          Make sure that products are set up in LifeSciMarketableProduct and aligned to territories.

          1. From the object management settings for visits, go to Page Layouts.
          2. Add the Provider Visit Product Detailings related list and the Provider Visit Detailing Product Messages related list to the layout.
            The Provider Visit Product Detailings list enables the sidebar menu. The Provider Visit Detailing Product Messages list enables the Messages subsections within the Product Details card.
          3. From the App Launcher, find and select Life Sciences Commercial, and then click Admin Console | Visit Administration | Visit Settings | Product Detailing Settings.
          4. Enable Show recent details and product selector and Discuss off-label products.
          5. From the App Launcher, find and select Life Sciences Commercial, and then click Admin Console | Trigger Handler Administration.
          6. Activate these trigger handlers: ProviderVisitProdDtlNameHandler, ProviderVisitProdDtlLockHandler, and ProviderVisitDtlProductMsgLockHandler.
            The object lock handlers apply only to the desktop site. For the mobile app, this logic is built in.
