Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions with Life Sciences Cloud, Life Sciences Cloud for Customer Engagement Add-on license, and the Life Sciences Customer Engagement managed package.
          User Permissions Needed
Access the Admin Console to configure sample settings and activate trigger handlers: Life Sciences Commercial Admin permission set
          Modify page layouts: Customize Application
          • Set up products in the Product and Life Science Marketable Product objects with an allowed distribution method of Ship or Drop and Ship. For each product, populate the Parent Product field with the parent Brand-type Life Science Marketable Product record. Only products with a parent Brand-type record appear in the Direct to Practitioner sidebar during a visit.
          • Set up valid ContactPointAddress records for the account.
          1. From the object management settings for visits, go to Page Layouts.
          2. Add the Provider Visit Requested Samples related list to the visit page layout and the visit record page layout.
Adding the related list to the visit page layout enables the Direct to Practitioner sidebar menu.
          3. From the App Launcher, find and select Life Sciences Commercial, and then click Admin Console | Visit Administration | Visit Settings | Samples and Items Settings.
          4. In HCO Types Allowed, enter the API names of business account record types eligible to request samples.
          5. From the App Launcher, find and select Life Sciences Commercial, and then click Admin Console | Trigger Handler Administration.
          6. Activate the ProviderVisitRqstSampleLockHandler trigger handler.
This handler applies only to the desktop site because the Salesforce mobile app includes this logic natively.
