            Configure HCP Sample Limits Validation

            Enforce regulatory or company limits on the number of samples a health care professional can receive within a specific time period.

            Required Editions

            Available in: Lightning Experience
            Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions with Life Sciences Cloud, Life Sciences Cloud for Customer Engagement Add-on license, and the Life Sciences Customer Engagement managed package.
            User Permissions Needed
            Create and manage sample limit templates: Customize Application
            Access the Admin Console to enable sample limits validation and activate trigger handlers: Life Sciences Commercial Admin permission set

            Make sure that sample limits templates are set up for sample products and initialized for healthcare professionals. See Sample Limits.

            1. From the App Launcher, find and select Life Sciences Commercial, and then click Admin Console | Visit Administration | Visit Settings | Samples and Items Settings.
            2. Select Validate sample limits.
              Note
              Note Validation logic, such as error or warning modes, is defined within specific sample limit template records rather than global settings.
            3. From the App Launcher, find and select Life Sciences Commercial, and then click Admin Console | Trigger Handler Administration.
            4. Activate the CalculateShippedQuantityHandler trigger handler.
              This handler updates the remaining quantity for sample limits by using the shipped quantity in Direct to Practitioner records.
