          Configure Territory Product Allocation Validation

          Limit the quantity of samples field reps can distribute based on territory-level allocation plans and per-visit limits.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Lightning Experience
          Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions with Life Sciences Cloud, Life Sciences Cloud for Customer Engagement Add-on license, and the Life Sciences Customer Engagement managed package.
          User Permissions Needed
          Manage Time Period and Territory Product Quantity Allocation records: Customize Application
          Access the Admin Console to enable and configure territory quantity allocation validation settings: Life Sciences Commercial Admin permission set
          • Define date ranges for allocations in the Time Period object.
          • Create Territory Product Quantity Allocation records for the user's territory and products.
          • For Direct to Practitioner (Ship) allocations, define the Allocated Quantity and Maximum Disbursement Limit Quantity.
          • For Sample Drops, define the Maximum Disbursement Limit Quantity.
          Note
          Note The Allocated Quantity field applies only to Ship allocations. Drop samples are validated against physical inventory records.
          1. From the App Launcher, find and select Life Sciences Commercial, and then click Admin Console | Visit Administration | Visit Settings | Samples and Items Settings.
          2. Select Validate territory quantity allocation.
          3. For Territory Quantity Allocation Validation Mode, select Error or Warning.
            • Select Error to prevent field reps from exceeding their territory allocations or per-visit limits.
            • Select Warning to alert reps but allow them to proceed.
