Configure Validations
Enforce business rules and regulatory requirements for visit scheduling, business hours, and data quality during visit signing or submission.

| Access the Admin Console to configure visit validation settings, manage planner settings, and activate trigger handlers: | Life Sciences Commercial Admin |

To prevent users from scheduling visits too far in advance, go to Admin Console | Visit Administration | Visit Settings.
Enter a value in Future Visit Limit in Days and activate the FutureVisitLimitValidationHandler trigger handler.

To prevent double-booking, configure Visit Conflict Validation Period in Days and Visit Conflict Validation Mode.
Activate the VisitConflictValidationHandler trigger handler.

To require a reason for late visit reports, configure Submission Delay Reason Fields and Submission Delay Reason Threshold in Days.
Activate the VisitDelayReasonHandler trigger handler.

To block scheduling on non-working days, define holidays in Setup | Company Settings | Holidays.
In Admin Console | Planner Administration, set the First Day of the Week and activate the VisitHolidayValidationHandler trigger handler.

To enforce working hours, define Business Hours in Setup and assign them in Admin Console | Planner Administration | Visit Business Hours.
Activate the VisitHolidayValidationHandler trigger handler.

To restrict visits to preferred times, activate the VisitMyBestTimeValidationHandler trigger handler.
This requires Contact Point Best Contact Time records with a type of My Best Time.

To prevent scheduling conflicts with time off, configure Time Off Territory Rules in the Admin Console.
Activate the VisitTimeOffValidationHandler and TUDVisitValidationHandler trigger handlers.
Note You can't add more than one healthcare organization to a single visit.
For complex or customer-specific rules, use visit action validation scripts.
