          Configure the Visit Engagement Page

The Visit Engagement page is the primary workspace for field users during a visit with their customers. It features a configurable sidebar for navigation and a main form for data entry.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions with Life Sciences Cloud, Life Sciences Cloud for Customer Engagement Add-on license, and the Life Sciences Customer Engagement managed package.

Customize the Visit Engagement page layout to streamline navigation and data entry for field users:

          • Mapping sidebar menu items to related lists defines the activities available during visits, such as engaging in discussions and providing samples.
          • Consolidating fields from the Visit and Provider Visit objects into a single Visit Information section provides a unified view of essential record data.
          • Configuring quick actions makes sure that high-priority tasks like surveys and inquiries are easily accessible via floating action buttons on the mobile app or the actions menu on the desktop site.
          Note
Note When you relate a custom object to the Visit Engagement page, make sure to create the lookup to the Visit object with an API name that includes Visit__c. Avoid variants such as Visit_ID__c. Otherwise, you can't create custom object records when you save a visit record.
          • Configure the Sidebar Menu
Use the sidebar to navigate visit activities, such as Samples and Discussions. Sidebar menu items correspond to related lists on the Visit object.
          • Configure Visit Information Fields
Customize what's shown in the Visit Information section at the top of a page by adding fields from the Visit and Provider Visit objects.
          • Configure Visit Record Types
Use record types to categorize visits. For example, to differentiate between in-person and remove visits.
          • Configure Quick and Custom Actions
Add standard actions, Life Sciences-specific actions, and custom navigation actions to visit record pages.
