Create Decision Tables for Pricing Linear Media Products
Create decision tables to determine the base unit price of a linear media product, based on various input parameters.
| Available in: Lightning Experience |
| Available in: Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited editions with Media Cloud- Advanced |
Create a decision table for the rate card. In the table, set:
- Ad Space Spec Name in the input column to identify the specific ad inventory
- Break Position in the input column to specify placement, for example, first or last
- Day of the Week in the input column to target specific days, for example, Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday
- Output column to Unit Price to obtain the base rate
Set up a decision table to configure coefficient to manage the logic for ad creative runtime. Define Ad Creative Size Runtime (Number) for the duration value, and Unit of Measure (Text) for the time unit in the table. Set the output column to Multiplier (Number), and use this multiplier to adjust the split price. For example, define 30 sec as 1.00 or define 60 sec as 2.25.
Create an ad availability configuration record for the decision tables with
linear-rate-card as the configuration key. Here's a sample snippet:
