Spot Calendars for Linear Media Products
The spot calendar is a specialized tool for media planners to visualize and define the distribution of advertising spots for linear media products across a campaign's timeline. It serves as the source of truth for spot counts in a linear media plan.
| Available in: Lightning Experience |
| Available in: Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited editions with Media Cloud- Advanced |
The calendar offers flexible visualization options, helping users to distribute spots based on daily and weekly intervals by using either broadcast or Gregorian calendars. To streamline the planning process, the system defaults to an even distribution of spots based on the line item's start and end dates. You can manually override these figures or reset them to defaults at any time.
The interface makes sure that critical data is always visible by showing product names, spot counts, and line items for linear products included in bundles. You can make adjustments by editing specific fields or by using the CSV export capability. The system automatically calculates column totals and syncs the updates with the main grid.
The spot calendar automatically spans from the first start date to the last end date of your line items. Also, users can customize their view by adding or removing columns to make sure that only relevant planning data appears.
- Add Spots to a Spot Calendar
Use the spot calendar to define the exact timing and distribution of ad spots across TV and radio inventories. By interacting directly with the calendar grid, planners can select specific dates and assign spot frequencies. Spot calendar helps media planners to make sure that ad requirements align perfectly with available programming schedules.
