Add Placements
Media planners can open the ad product and service portfolio of the publisher and select the ad placements and services that they want to include in the media plan. When media planners add placements in a media plan for the first time, the must select the price book that decides the pricing of the ad products and services they want to add to the media plan.
To help media planners easily find ad products and services they are looking for, media planners can first select the catalog from which they want to add placement and then navigate across categories to find the placements that they want to add. The Browse Products modal enables media planners to add all the placements from multiple categories at once or select individual placements that they want to add from the different categories.
Apply Targeting Template
Media planners can select two or more ad placements in a media plan and apply a targeting criteria template to the selected ad placements. The bulk action works in the identical way as applying a targeting template to one ad placement from the Targeting tab of the Line Item Configuration panel. To understand how targeting templates are applied to ad placements, see Targeting Criteria Templates in Advertising Sales Management.
Check Availability
Media planners can select one or more ad placements in a media plan and check the availability status of the ad placements on the publisher's external ad server instance. The availability status helps media planners take an informed decision about the number of units of the ad placement to include in the media plan based on the available inventory.
The Check Availability bulk action requires the system integrators to integrate the action with the publisher's ad server instance. See Integration to Show Availability of Ad Placements in Media Plans.
Refresh
After media planners make changes to the configuration of ad placements such as adjusting the revised price, media planners can refresh the Ad Placement table to view the latest ad placement details.
