Goals

Goals section of the Delivery tab of the Line Item Configuration panel.

Based on various factors such as past ad placement performance, campaign objectives, and campaign timing, media planners can enter the goal of the ad placement. The type of goal that the media planner can set vary based on the configuration of the line item. Some of the line item configurations that decide the goal type include: the product classification used to created the ad placement, the sponsorship type of the ad placement, and the pricing model of the ad placement. Based on the configuration of the ad placement, media planners can either set the goal as either a percentage or number of clicks, or a percentage or number of impressions.

To learn about how the ad placement configurations decide what type of goal media planners can set of ad placement, see Enable Media Planners and Sales Reps to Decide Ad Placement Goals. If media planners aren't able to set the goal of an ad placement, then they must ask the admin to configure the flow that displays the goal unit and goal unit type on the Goals section.

Frequency

Frequency section of the Delivery tab of the Line Item Configuration panel.

Media planners can decide the frequency at which impressions are delivered to the target audience of ad placements. As part of the frequency configuration, media planners can select the speed at which impressions are delivered to the target audience.

  • Frontloaded: Indicates that a major percentage of the impressions are delivered at the beginning of the campaign and the impression delivery percentage reduces over time.
  • Evenly: Indicates that impressions are delivered evenly throughout the length of the campaign.
  • As fast as possible: Indicates that impressions are delivered as soon as possible

The delivery frequency can be set for either the complete target audience of the ad placement or for each person in the target audience. Media planners have the ability to set different levels of delivery frequency limits across hours, days, weeks, and months. If both hourly and daily limits are set, impressions are delivered up to the hourly limit, and then delivery stops for the day when the daily limit is reached.

If the delivery frequency is 500 for a two week period for each viewer, then it means that impression delivery is limited to 500 impressions for each in the target audience over a two week period.
