Self-lookups are not supported during data migration. A self-lookup is a field on an object that references another record on the same object — for example, a child category that references a parent category. During import, the DPE cannot automatically create hierarchical relationships between records within the same object. After the import completes, establish these relationships separately using Apex logic, Data Loader, or a Flow. The following self-lookup relationships are not created during import:
| Object | Scenario |
|---|---|
| Ad Target Category | A child category referencing a parent category |
| Ad Target Category Segment | A child segment referencing a parent segment |
| Ad Target Segment Value | A child value referencing a parent value |
Review the following limits before importing data. Exceeding these limits results in job failure.
| Guardrail | Limit | Applies To |
|---|---|---|
| Maximum records processed via DML | 10,000 | Both templates |
| Maximum records queried via SOQL | 50,000 | Both templates |
| Maximum CSV file size | 12 MB (varies based on heap size) | Both templates |
| Maximum new records per row | 3 | Both templates |
| Total records in source objects (Ad Target Category, Ad Target Category Segment, Ad Target Segment Value, Product2, Product Classification) | 50,000 |
