Out-of-Home and In-Store Media Products
Out-of-home (OOH) and in-store media planning helps planners discover, price, and sell physical ad placements alongside digital media in the quote-to-order process. To make these media types available, configure the catalogs, products, maps, and pricing that support them.
Required Editions
| Available in: Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited Editions with Media Cloud—Advanced. |
- Configure Picklist Values for OOH and In-Store Products
Configure picklist values for the Product, Ad Quote, Ad Quote Line, and Ad Order Item objects so that your users can create out-of-home (OOH) and in-store products. These values are required to manage these products throughout the media planning workflow. - Configure Ad Availability View Configuration Records for Out-of-Home and In-Store Media Planning
Configure the map list view, filters, and side panel tabs that planners use to discover out-of-home (OOH) and in-store inventory. Salesforce stores each configuration as an ad availability view configuration record. - Set Up Catalogs and Pricing Elements for OOH and In-Store Media Planning
Set up the catalogs, and pricing elements that OOH and in-store products rely on. - Create OOH and In-Store Media Products
Create products for the out-of-home (OOH) and in-store advertising inventory that you plan to sell. - Create Locations for OOH and In-Store Media Products
Create a location record for each screen, store, or other physical inventory location that you want planners to discover. Include the address or geographic coordinates and other details that help identify the location. - Create Location Groups for OOH and In-Store Media Products
Create location groups to organize related physical inventory locations, such as screens or stores. Add the appropriate locations to each group so planners can work with them collectively. - Update Decision Tables for Out-of-Home and In-Store Media Products
Update the ASM Draft Grid Rules decision tables to make the locations and Promoted SKUs tabs available for applicable line items. - Set Up Sponsored Products
Sponsored products connect in-store ad placements with the retail products being advertised. Planners can discover and add eligible products to in-store line items. Admins control which catalogs and products are available for selection. - Prepare the Pricing Context for Location-Based Pricing
Location-based pricing calculates rates for out-of-home and in-store products based on the number of stores or screens and the campaign duration. To configure this pricing, prepare the pricing context to support location counts. Then, create and activate a pricing procedure that uses the Per Store Per Week or Per Screen Per Week pricing model. After you create or update products, sync pricing data to make the latest product and pricing information available. - Set Up the Map View for Out-of-Home and In-Store Media Products
Turn on the map view so that planners can discover out-of-home (OOH) and in-store media products by location. Then configure the product information and filters available in the map view. - Configure Account-Based Product Disqualification for Sponsored Products
Configure account-based product disqualification to exclude ineligible products from sponsored product discovery for specific accounts. Create an account lookup field and disqualification data, define and activate a qualification procedure, and connect the procedure to the Discover Promoted SKU flow.
