Add an Account Lookup Field to Product Disqualification

Create a lookup relationship between the Product Disqualification and Account objects. The relationship enables you to disqualify a product for a specific account.

  1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Object Manager, and then select Object Manager.
  2. Select Product Disqualification.
  3. Select Fields & Relationships, and then click New.
  4. Under Data Type, select Lookup Relationship as the data type, and then click Next.
  5. For Related To, select Account, and then click Next.
  6. Enter these details:
    Field Label Account
    Field Name Account__c
  7. Click Next.
  8. Configure field-level security for the lookup field, and then click Next.
  9. Add the field to the appropriate page layouts, and click Next.
  10. Save your changes.

Create a Lookup Table for Product Disqualification

Create a lookup table that identifies the products disqualified for specific accounts. The qualification procedure uses this table to evaluate sponsored products.

  1. From the App Launcher, find and select Lookup Tables.
  2. Click New, select Decision Tables, and click Next.
  3. For the name, enter Product_Account_Disqualification. The system generates the API name automatically.
  4. For Decision Table Type, select Standard.
  5. Click Save & Next.
  6. For Source Object, select Product Disqualification.
  7. Under Conditions, create these conditions:
    • Account__c equals Account__c
    • ProductId equals ProductId
  8. Under Results, in the Source Object Field, select IsDisqualified.
  9. In the Behaviours page, click Save & Next.
  10. In the Preview & Save page, click Finish..

Rows in the lookup table determine which product-and-account combinations the qualification procedure disqualifies.

Create Product Disqualification Records

Create a product disqualification record for each product-and-account combination that you want to exclude from sponsored products discovery.

  1. From the App Launcher, find and select Product Disqualifications.
  2. Click New.
  3. For Product, select the product to disqualify.
  4. For Account, select the account for which you want to disqualify the product.
  5. Complete any other required fields, and save your changes.
  6. Repeat these steps for each product-and-account combination that you want to disqualify.
  7. If the qualification procedure uses the lookup table, add the corresponding rows to Product_Account_Disqualification.

Keep the product disqualification records and lookup table rows synchronized. Alternatively, configure the qualification procedure to query product disqualification records directly instead of by using a lookup table.

Create and Activate the Qualification Procedure

Create a qualification procedure that checks the product and account against the configured disqualification data. When it finds a matching combination, the procedure excludes the product from sponsored products discovery.

  1. From the App Launcher, find and select Expression Set Templates.
  2. Find Product Discovery Qualification Procedure, and save it as a new qualification procedure.
  3. Add an expression or step that uses Product_Account_Disqualification lookup table as its data source.
  4. For input parameters, enter the Product ID and the Account ID.
  5. For output parameters, enter True for IsDisqualified and add a reason.
  6. Save and activate the qualification procedure.

Record the exact qualification procedure name. You use it when configuring the Discover Promoted SKU flow.

Configure the Discover Promoted SKU Flow

Connect the qualification procedure to the Discover Promoted SKU flow. The flow uses the procedure to exclude products that you disqualify for the selected account.

  1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Flows, and then select Flows.
  2. Select Discover Promoted SKU.
  3. Find the flow variable that stores the qualification procedure or expression set name.
  4. Set the variable’s default value to Promoted_SKU_Qualification_Procedure.
The value must exactly match the name of the active qualification procedure.
  5. Save and activate the flow.
