Quote Line Groups

Organize quote lines into meaningful sections that make complex media plans easier to review and manage. Quote line groups help media planners arrange placements by categories such as package, channel, audience, or service level while retaining familiar media-plan functions.

When you turn on quote line groups, each new media plan includes a default group. New placements are initially associated with this group.

You can create more groups, give them descriptive names and descriptions, and move lines to the groups that fit your planning model. Each expanded group shows:

• Number of lines
• Subtotal
• Number of selected lines

The default group provides a permanent destination for lines that aren't part of a user-defined group. You can rename the default group and edit its description, but you can't delete or reorder it. If you delete a user-defined group, its lines return to the default group so that they remain in the media plan.

User-defined groups initially appear with the most recently created group first. You can reorder them when the media plan has at least two user-defined groups, and the saved order persists when you refresh the page. The default group remains in its fixed position.

Planners can reorder quote lines within a quote line group on the media plan summary grid by configuring up to five fields that uniquely identify quote lines. If planners select more than five fields, the system uses only the first five fields.

Quote line groups don’t change line-item details or columns in the media plan grid. Existing operations continue to work with grouped lines, including:

• Line item configuration
• Bulk actions
• Availability checks
• Targeting
• Discounts
• Pricing

When you clone a media plan, the clone retains its groups, line assignments, group order, counts, and totals.

• Quote Line Behavior in Groups
  Assign quote lines to user-defined, custom groups to reflect how you package, sell, or fulfill a media plan. You can move eligible lines from one or multiple source groups to a single destination group. After the move, the system recalculates line counts and subtotals for the affected groups.
• Quote Line Groups in Existing Media Plans and Orders
  Media plans created before enabling quote line groups can contain lines that have no group assignment. When you turn on groups and open one of these plans, the unassigned lines appear separately. A message prompts you to assign them to a group before creating an order.
• Organize Quote Lines with Groups
  Use quote line groups to organize related line items in a media plan. Salesforce shows the line count and subtotal on each group so that you can easily track your metrics.
