Quote Line Behavior in Groups

Quote Line Behavior in Groups

Assign quote lines to user-defined, custom groups to reflect how you package, sell, or fulfill a media plan. You can move eligible lines from one or multiple source groups to a single destination group. After the move, the system recalculates line counts and subtotals for the affected groups.

Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited editions with Media Cloud- Advanced

You can move individual lines and parent bundle lines between groups. Child bundle lines remain associated with their parent bundle, so you can’t move them independently.

When you use quote line groups, new media plans include a default group. New placements remain in this group until you move them to another group. You can rename the default group, but you can’t delete or reorder it.

Selecting a child line, either alone or with eligible lines, makes the move action unavailable. When you move a parent bundle, its child lines move with it and count toward the destination group’s line count and subtotal.

You can select lines across groups when you perform supported actions such as bulk updates or targeting. Grouping doesn't change line item configuration. Updates to values such as quantity or discount continue to update line pricing and the applicable group subtotal.

Deleting a custom group doesn't delete its quote lines. The lines move to the default group, and the default group's count and subtotal update accordingly.

Quote line groups organize your media plan without changing line item details or grid columns. Existing operations, including line item configuration, bulk actions, availability checks, targeting, discounts, and pricing, continue to work with grouped lines. When you clone a media plan, the clone retains its groups, line assignments, group order, counts, and totals.
