Organize Quote Lines with Groups

Use quote line groups to organize related line items in a media plan. Salesforce shows the line count and subtotal on each group so that you can easily track your metrics.

You can rename groups, edit their descriptions, change their order, or delete groups that you no longer need. When you delete a group, its lines move to the default group. You can also move the individual line items and parent bundles to another group.

• Create a Quote Line Group
  Create groups to organize the line items in a media plan by criteria, such as channel, package, or service level.
• Edit a Quote Line Group
  Organize your media plan by updating a quote line group's name or description.
• Move Quote Lines to Another Group
  Move individual line items or bundles between groups to organize a media plan. You can move only individual lines or complete bundles between groups. You can't move a child line item independently.
• Reorder Custom Quote Line Groups
  To show your custom quote line groups in the order you need, reorder them on the media plan. You can’t reorder the default group.
• Reorder Quote Lines in Quote Line Groups
  Configure up to five fields that uniquely identify quote lines in the custom sort window. Use these fields to reorder lines in a quote line group on the media plan summary grid. If you select more than five fields, the system uses only the first five.
• Delete a Custom Quote Line Group
  Organize your media plan by deleting custom quote line groups that you no longer need. When you delete a custom group, Salesforce retains its line items by moving them to the default group. You can't delete the default group.
• Assign Ungrouped Quote Lines Before an Order Creation
  Assign lines from an older media plan to a group before you create an order. Media plans created before enabling quote line groups can contain lines that have no group assignment.
