Update the AI Prompt Template for Request for Proposal

Add each custom field to the Request for Proposal Summary prompt. The AI then identifies and extracts the corresponding data point from the uploaded Request for Proposal (RFP).

Required Editions

Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited editions with Media Cloud — Growth and Media Cloud — Advanced.

To update an AI prompt template:

Manage Prompt Templates or Customize Application

After you create the new custom field, instruct the AI to extract the new data point. Edit the prompt template in Prompt Builder and referencing the field by its API name.

  1. From Setup, open Prompt Builder.
  2. Open the Request for Proposal Summary template.
  3. Create a version of the template so that you can make edits.
  4. Enter the API name and description of the field that you want to add in the temporary scratchpad.
  5. In the prompt's JSON output section, add each new field by its API name, with an instruction telling the AI what to extract.
    For example: 
    "Target_Audience__c": "Extract the primary audience for this proposal."
  6. Save the new prompt version, and then activate it.

The active prompt now instructs the AI to extract the new data points into your custom fields.
