Manage Request for proposals (RFP) by creating or opening an RFP record, uploading
source documents, and by using generative AI to extract key details. Review and correct the
AI-generated summary and create versions as the RFP evolves.
Required Editions
Available in: Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited
Editions with Media Cloud — Growth and Media Cloud — Advanced. This feature requires
an Agentforce license.
Create or Open a Request for Proposal Record Create a Request for Proposal (RFP) record from the account or another supported parent record associated with the deal. If an RFP record exists, open it instead.
Upload the Request for Proposal Documents Add the documents that contain the information you want AI to extract. You can upload up to five files to a Request for Proposal (RFP), and each file can be up to 10 MB.
Extract Request for Proposal Details with AI Specify whether to extract all supported Request for Proposal (RFP) details or only the fields you need. If the RFP has multiple documents or document versions, you can also limit extraction to specific files.
Update Request for Proposal Summary and Compare Versions When you receive revised requirements or more source material, extract the Request for Proposal (RFP) again. Compare the newly extracted values with the current summary, select the values to retain, and save them as a new version.
Export a Request for Proposal Summary Export the active Request for Proposal (RFP) summary for offline review or to share with stakeholders who don’t have Salesforce access. Proposal-writing teams can also use it as a starting point.
Submit a Request for Proposal by Email Send an RFP and its source documents to your organization’s designated Request for Proposal (RFP) email address. Salesforce creates the underlying records and sends you a confirmation with a link to the RFP. This integration uses Salesforce Email-to-Case. Salesforce associates the entire email thread with the RFP and adds it as a PDF document under Files. AI can then include message-body details, such as budget requirements, in the summary.
