Before sales managers and sales reps generate revenue schedules, they must make sure
admins have completed the required set up and that opportunities and products for generating
revenue schedules are correctly configured.
Required Editions
Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited editions with Media Cloud -
Advanced
Admin Prerequisites
Make sure that the admin has:
Assigned the sales team the required permissions
Configured revenue scheduling and opportunity teams
Added object picklist values
Activated flows for Revenue Schedules for Media
Added the Revenue Schedule component to the Opportunity page layouts
Created Ad Availability Configuration records to set default revenue schedule
preferences
Before generating revenue schedules for an opportunity, make sure that revenue scheduling
is enabled for all the products in the opportunity.
Tip Instead of enabling revenue scheduling for products individually, the sales
team can request the admin to automate the process to enabling revenue scheduling for
products. See Revenue Scheduling Support for Products.
Things to Remember
You can regenerate revenue schedules for opportunities. If you regenerate the schedules, the
existing schedules and opportunity product line item schedule actuals for all the
opportunity products are deleted and can't be retrieved.
