Set Up Promotion Groups and Evaluation Methods

Create promotions, organize them into custom child groups, and set the evaluation method for each group to control which promotions can be applied together.

Required Editions

Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer Editions with Media Cloud Advanced
  1. Create a promotion and associate it with the rule library.
    Salesforce adds the promotion to the Line, Cross-line, or Order subgroup, based on how its discount applies.
  2. Create a custom child group under a subgroup.

    Enter a name, a description, and an evaluation method.

  3. Set the evaluation method for each child group.

    Select First Eligible Promotion or Stacked.

  4. To set the priority, move a promotion between child groups within the same subgroup, or reorder the child groups.
Note
Note When a subgroup contains child groups, its evaluation method is set to Stacked, so Salesforce combines the winning result from each child group.
