Measure Types

Measure Types

To generate emissions forecasts, you must enter some measures, while others are automatically calculated.

Required Editions

Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer Editions

A measure can logically belong to one of these measure types:

Measure Types
Measure Type Description
Business metric

Enter the values for these measures to form the basis of forecasting; for example, revenue or headcount.

An emissions activity is associated with a business metric that acts as a factor for its forecast. For example, revenue is a factor used to calculate business travel related emissions forecasts.

Target These are automatically populated values for science-based targets. For example, Target Emissions, which takes the total emissions from the target record where the Activity level is All Emissions.
Actual These are automatically populated values from the actual emissions inventory record for the inventory year. For example, Actual Emissions, which takes the total emissions from the inventory record.
Forecast These are automatically populated values that are calculated by the forecasting process using other factors you entered. For example, Forecasted Emissions.
Carbon credit calculations related These are automatically populated values for the required carbon credits that you can select. For example, Required Carbon Credits.
