Post Upgrade Steps for Order Management Winter '23
Customers upgrading to Industries Order Management must follow some steps to get Order Management working as expected. Except when noted otherwise, these steps are valid for both OM Standard and OM Plus environments.
If you are upgrading Order Management Standard from a version of CME earlier than CME Fall '20, then the earliest version of CME to which you should upgrade is CME 109.0.3.900.377.13. See the Index of CME packages for the package download URL.
Please note that upgrade planning for Order Management requires a discussion between the customer, Engineering, and Services and Support. This conversation determines what package to upgrade to and ensures that all required fixes on the current release are implemented in the target release.
OM Standard Customers
Depending on which version of Order Management you're upgrading from, either delete or activate the OMStdBundleActivationBackCompatibility in Custom Settings.
-
If you're upgrading the managed package from version 109.1 (Winter 2021) or later: delete the OMStdBundleActivationBackCompatibility bundle from the Custom Settings (if it exists).
-
If you're upgrading the managed package from any version earlier than 109.1 (Winter 2021): Activate the OMStdBundleActivationBackCompatibility bundle in Custom Settings.
For steps on activating or deleting the OMStdBundleActivationBackCompatibility, see: Upgrading OM: Activate or Delete OMStdBundleActivationBackCompatibility
OM Plus Customers
-
From the XOM Administration panel, click CHECK OM PLUS ENVIRONMENT STATUS. Doing so checks your OM Plus setup at a high level and displays a report, showing your OM Plus connection as green when the status is OK.
-
Sync OmniStudio Data Mappers between Salesforce and OM Plus. To set a specific Data Mapper to sync between Salesforce and OM Plus, check the OMplus Enabled checkbox for that Data Mapper. Or, if you're not sure which ones need to be synced, then you can run a script to sync all of them. For more information on these methods, see:
-
As a test, submit an order from Salesforce to OM Plus. The test order validates connectivity to all downstream systems (API gateways, ESBs, point connections, and so on), and communication back to Salesforce. Once you have sent a successful test order, the installation is finished.
