Create the State Model Cache Partition and Allocate Space

Create the State Model Cache Partition and Allocate Space

After specifying the State Model cache partition name, the next task is to create and allocate space in this partition.

          1. Go to Setup.
            • In Lightning Experience, click the gear icon and select Setup from the menu.

            • In Salesforce Classic, click the user menu and select Setup from the menu.

          2. In the Quick Find box, enter Platform.
          3. Click Platform Cache.

If the Allocated Capacity is zero, you can click Request Trial Capacity for a temporary allocation, which your company can purchase later. Return to these steps when your administrator tells you this capacity has been allocated.

          4. If you don't see VlocityMetadata in the list of partitions, click New Platform Cache Partition and enter VlocityMetadata as both the Name and Label.

If you do see VlocityMetadata in the list of partitions, click VlocityMetadata and then click Edit.

If you specified a different partition name in the StateModelRulesCachePartition setting, use that partition name instead of VlocityMetadata.

          5. Under Total Available, note the amounts for Trial, Organization, and Total.

If the Total is zero, click Cancel, then click Edit for other partitions and reduce their allocations.

          6. Under Org Cache Allocation, enter an amount between 2 and the corresponding total from the previous step in the Trial or Organization field.
          7. Click Save.
