Assign a Product Selling Model to a Product

After you create a product selling model, assign it to your products.

          Required Editions

          User Permissions Needed
To assign product selling models to product: Manage Product Catalog
          1. From the Product Catalog Management app’s home page, click Products.
          2. On the Products list view page, click a product and navigate to the product’s related list.
          3. In the Product Selling Model Options section, click New.
          4. In the New Product Selling Model Option window, specify these properties:
            1. Search and select a product selling model for this product.
            2. If the product selling model is term-defined or evergreen, search and select a proration policy.
A proration policy indicates whether a customer can start a subscription partway through the pricing period and pay only for the time that they’ve subscribed for, rather than for the entire period. It also indicates whether any leftover amount from pricing term calculations is added to the beginning or to the end of the subscription.
          5. You can optionally make this product selling model the default selling model for the product, by selecting Default.
          6. Save your changes.
