Computer memory comes in all kinds of RAM chips like 8GB DDR3, 16GB DDR4, and so on. Imagine you have dozens of these options availabe to sell. To help your sales reps locate these attributes quickly, create an attribute category called Memory and assign all the individual attibutes for memory to it. That way your reps can find all memory options in one conveinent place.
Now that you've seen an example, here's how to create an attribute category:
- From the Product Catalog Management app’s home page, click Attribute Categories.
- From the Attribute Categories list view, click New.
-
In the New Attribute Category window, enter these field values:
- Enter a name and description for the attribute category.
- Enter a unique code for the attribute category.
- Save your changes.

- Delete these attributes from the product classification or products, and then unassign the attributes from the category.
