Product Index and Search in Product Catalog Management
Enable sales reps to find products quickly and easily with an index of all the products
available across catalogs. Specify searchable fields and attributes that users can use to search
the index for products.
After you define your seachable fields, your sales reps and other users can then search for
products more easily. For example, searching for products with a specific SKU, or products of
a specific color, display, and size

Search Considerations When Using Indexed Data When users search for a product by using a search term, Product Catalog Management checks for an exact match to the search term. If it can’t find an exact match, PCM uses typo correction to help users find the product they’re looking for.
Faceted Search Faceted search improves the search experience by allowing users to refine search results using multiple criteria, such as price, brand, or color. This feature lets customers quickly narrow down extensive product catalogs to find exactly what they need with fewer clicks. By simplifying the discovery process, faceted search saves users time and effort, ensuring greater search accuracy and efficiency, particularly in large catalogs.
