Create Care Plan Tasks

Care plan tasks span a range of chores and can be assigned to case participants or to staff members such as caseworkers and case managers. For participants, tasks include actions such as signing up for counseling and reporting their attendance back to caseworkers. For staff members, tasks include actions such as completing intake documentation and scheduling check-ins with clients. Staff members see the tasks when they create care plans based on a template, and can easily update task statuses when they meet with clients.

To assign tasks to a care plan, create an action plan template whose target object is Care Plan, and add repeatable tasks to the template. Then, assign the action plan template to the appropriate care plan template. When you create a care plan from a care plan template that includes tasks, the care plan also includes the tasks.

You can also create action plan templates for benefit assignments and goal assignments, add tasks to the action plan template, and then assign the template to a benefit or goal definition. When you add a goal definition or benefit with a task to a care plan, the care plan also includes the task.
