Employee Experience for Public Sector
Provide government employees with as much support as external constituents by using Public Sector (formerly Public Sector Solutions) functionalities. Give users access to Employee Experience. Review and assign the prebuilt permission sets.

Use the prebuilt applications in Public Sector to address your employees' specific needs, such as:
Benefits Management: Allow employees to apply and enroll in benefits offered by the agency.
Grants Management: Allow employees to apply for education, research, and other grants.
Inspections Management: Conduct and review findings from internal audits, compliance, and safety inspections.
License and Permit Management: Issue licenses, permits, certifications, accreditation, and other authorizations to your employees.
Provider Management: Find service providers who can provide training, counseling, or other services to employees.
Talent Recruitment Management: Engage internal candidates and hiring managers and interviewers in the hiring process.
Get Started with Employee Experience
To enable employees to use the Public Sector capabilities:
- Create employees as platform users. In the User License and Profile step, select Lightning Platform.
- Grant access to the Case object in Lightning Experience.
- Assign them the appropriate permission sets based on capability requirements, as specified in later sections.
- Set up the required workflows:
- Create sites by using these Experience Cloud site templates:
- Licenses and Permits: Enables employees to assess their license needs, complete and track applications, and file complaints
- Employee Site for Recruitment: Enables hiring managers to review and approve recruitment requisitions and job postings, and interviewers to evaluate applicants
- Employee Portal: Allows employees to access the employee service capabilities
- Create console apps in Lightning Experience.
- Create sites by using these Experience Cloud site templates:
Accessing Case Object in Lightning Experience
For employees to access Public Sector capabilities and HR Service through the Lightning Experience interface, grant them access to the Case object in Lightning Experience. For more information, see the Knowledge Article: Grant users with Lightning Platform license access to Case object.
Accessing Public Sector Capabilities
Grant government employees the required permissions to use Public Sector. Assign either the Employee_Experience_User permission set group, or individually assign permission sets based on the capabilities employees need. The Employee_Experience_User permission set group provides many common features.
