            Enable Unstructured Document Processing

            Enable Unstructured Document Processing, then configure the permissions, licenses, and org preferences that applicants need to upload resumes.

            Required Editions

            View supported product editions.
            Note
            Note Public Sector Solutions is now Agentforce Public Sector. You may see references to Public Sector Solutions in Salesforce applications and documentation.
            User Permissions Needed
            To enable Unstructured Document Processing: Customize Application, plus any admin permissions your org requires for Setup

            Before you begin:

            • Confirm that Agentforce is enabled in your org. See Enable Agentforce.
            • Confirm that the Talent Recruitment Management (TRM) org preference is enabled.
            • Confirm that Data Cloud is configured in your org.
            • An admin must enable the Document AI for Public Sector org preference. This preference isn't enabled automatically.

            Complete each of these tasks in order to enable Unstructured Document Processing for application form pre-population.

            Enable Document AI for Public Sector

            Turn on the Document AI for Public Sector org preference so your org can use Data Cloud Document AI to extract data from uploaded resumes.

            1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Document AI Settings, and then select Document AI Settings.
            2. Turn on Document AI for Public Sector.

            Provision Licenses and Assign Permissions

            Provision the add-on license that matches each user type, then assign the corresponding permission set license (PSL) and user permission to each user.

            For the user-type-to-license mapping, see Pre-populate Application Forms with Data Cloud Document AI.

            1. Provision the add-on license for each user type.
            2. Assign the corresponding permission set license (PSL) to each user.
            3. Assign the appropriate user permission to each user.
              1. For standard users, assign the Unstructured Document Processing permission set.
              2. For external constituents, assign the Process Unstructured Documents for Customer Community permission set.
              3. For internal employees (platform users), assign the Access Document AI for Company Community permission set.

            Set Field-Level Security for the Extracted Data Field

            Set field-level security on the Extracted Data field on the Document Checklist Item object so users can view the data that Document AI extracts from a resume.

            1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Object Manager, and then select Object Manager.
            2. Select Document Checklist Item.
            3. Select Fields and Relationships, and then select Extracted Data.
            4. Select Set Field-Level Security and configure access for the relevant profiles.

            Set Up Data Cloud

            Provision Data Cloud and assign the required permission sets so Data Cloud Document AI can process uploaded resumes.

            1. From Setup, navigate to Data Cloud Setup.
            2. If prompted, disable Single Source of Truth (SSOT).
            3. Click Start Provisioning and follow the on-screen steps.
            4. Assign the Data Cloud Architect permission set license to the user who completes setup.
            5. Assign the Data Cloud User permission set to any community users who upload documents.
